Yo, that's always an uncomfortable situation. I'd say just be straight up with him - you respect your friendship too much to play guessing games.

Maybe try something like "ay yo, I noticed you seem to be vibing more with other people lately. No worries man, just want to make sure we're on the same page. Are we cool as friends or is there something else going on?"

Keep it casual, like it no biggie either way. But getting clarity is better than wondering, you know? And asking directly shows confidence - he'll respect that.

If he does like someone else, be chill about it. You could say "no problem, I had a feeling. We good though right?" Then keep being a good friend to him like normal.
