GUY WHOS A BAD TEXTER?

Hi all,

I was with someone for 5 years and I am very affectionate/clingy person.

And I decided to try and date again after almost a year of being single.


I am seeing a guy for more than 2 months now and he's a really nice guy, take me on dates, text me everyday but he's such a bad texter sometimes he will reply like after 3-4 hours and I know he is busy but it makes me over think that he might not really in to me? Or some guys are just not really into texting? He doesn't really show affections to me as well, he's not even sweet at all. Or probably it's too early for men to show affection?

Well first off... I am a bad texter. Because honestly, I prefer talking in person. Texting is a drag for me, I like to save most conversations for dates. But I am very sweet and affectionate in person. It's never too early for that.

I'd agree! Because when we're together we talked a lot anyways he's probably savings some conversation in person.

I might just do the same & set boundaries when replying?

Like I never spent penny in our dates he will booked us nice place to spend the night etc and we cuddle & kiss but he's not really open about us like he doesn't ask questions about us etc

On the question thing, I have had this issue. For me, I like to tell people things when I feel comfortable in telling them. And when I connect with a woman, and she asks all these questions, then yes, I feel pressured into giving answer. Now on some level there is nothing wrong in asking questions, but on another level, I do not like to feel pressured into it if I do not feel ready or comfortable with it. So there has to be some balance there.

But because of the way I feel about it, I try to respect other people in the same way. So, if there is something you would like to share with me, I am open to that conversation. But I am not going to put you on the spot and make you feel uncomfortable or pressured into answering my questions.

So, you feel like he is not taking an active interest in you by asking questions, then share more with him and he might open up with you and starts asking more questions.

I don't see it as any different than not being into phone calls or the like.

Personally, I don't like small talk and that's most of the kinds of messages I get. I deteste things "how are you" and "what are you doing" and the like. I don't like talking about my day or hearing about someone else's unless it's unusual/interesting/abnormal. It feels like people male conversation just to fill silence.

He might just be really busy with work, or whatever, but if he was really into you he'd make time for you and you'd feel affection. 🚩

He's really busy in work & he goes to gym as well. Like when we're together he will kiss & hold me but he's just not really open about what he feels about us/me. I am thinking he's probably just taking things slow between us?

I couldn't comment on him since I don't know. I just know, for myself, I would want someone passionately in love with me, at first and forever. I think people deserve to get what they want in life.

Id agree, what I learned from my past relationship is if he wants to, he would. I will not settle for less anymore.

I'm happy that you see that because I kind of doubt things will get better. Take him as he is now and see if you're good with that for life. If not, time to find someone else. Ask friends if they know a good guy to set you up with.
