If a guy makes fun of another guy helping you out, does it mean he's jealous?

So, the other day my car broke down. I was scared because it was a bad part of the city and all my friends were gone. So, I call up my good friend (the one this question is about) and talk to him on the phone so I can feel a little safer. Half way through, I realize my other friend lives near the area (this is a guy who likes me and both my friend and I know he likes me .being the guy told me and I told my friend about it and he used to make fun of me about it). So, anyway I decide to call the guy up and he comes to pick me up and I'm relieved as I didn't want to be alone while I waited for my ride to come bring me home. So, I go back to his frat with him and blah blah blah.

So the next day I'm hanging out with my good friend (the one this question is about) and so I'm mentioning the other night and how the other friend picked me up and out of nowhere my good friend is like 'Oh yeah because he saved her! Yay, he's her knight in shining armor!" in this ridiculous loud voice in my car. So.does it mean anything that he's trying to make fun of it? Is he jealous?

Well if he started to do a sort of yell. then that probably means he's jealous

It all depends if he sounded pissed off when saying it. But you just have to see if he does it again with the same sort of event then it's highly likely that he's jealous.

A good way to see is see how the guy acts when you are around the other guy. If he keeps looking for you or looking at you then that's a slight indication that he's worried that you'll go out with the other guy.

Here's a tip: If taken the wrong way by one guy. This event of 2 guys like one girl could break their friendship.

Oh lol well they're not friends. They know each other but definitely not friends. And the other day the other guy asked me to some formal dance for his frat, I told my friend about it and he just got quiet when I mentioned it.

And it was kinda like a yell, that's why it startled me. It wasn't a full out yell the whole time but he started it out like that and I just started laughing about it.

Oh and I did notice on occassions when I'd be talking to one of those guys or another guy I'd always notice him staring at me intensely or it seemed intense...I don't know he's a confusing boy. One moment he'll do this type of stuff the next he seems to push me away..it confuses me

Yea sounds like he likes you or in a slight chance he cares about you and dosn't want you to fall into another guys arms.



Boys who do that are quite confusing, but theirs a chance the guy may always have feelings for you from then on. But just keeping a look out for what your doing, and what ticks him off. If he keeps doing it then he most likely has feelings for you.

Once after I was talking to him and telling him how I considered him a good friend, he randomly mentioned those two guys and asked if I considered them good friends also.

Sounds like he is. He wants you and if he can't get you then he's gonna be an asshole to you. He's aggrovated that he can't get you.

See here's where he gets confusing though. He'll do that but then if I contact him too much he gets annoyed, like he doesn't really wanna deal with me.

He's self-centered. He wants you on his terms only. He's putting you on a shelf or safety netting you. He's afraid of your rejection. If he's not man enought to get you then he sure ain't gonna let somebody else have you. He will end up being jealous. He's putting the other guy down to make himself look like the better option. I'm talking about the first friend you have. The one making fun of the helper. Check out some of his reactions to you and it will tell you if he likes you.

Though it kind of makes sense. He gets quiet whenever I mention my best friend (a guy) and whenever I'm texting or mention a friend he always thinks I'm talking about my best friend and whenever he mentions his name he'll get quiet about it and sorta sad looking. Does this fit with what your saying?

He's trying to defend his claim i.e. (you). He associates himself with you like he owns the rights to you. He'll try to fight off the other's without you knowing it. He's afraid of pushing you away so that's why it's a secret from you.. I'm a guy and my ego would get hurt if my potential girl was getting "stolen" from me. If he always faces you directly in a crowd and pays more attention to you than anyone else he likes you. Continued direct eye contact gives it away too. Test him out.

He doesn't always face me but like if we go to this weekend thing we usually go to, he looks at me a lot sometimes staring. But to think of me as his possession? It kinda makes sense but I dunno, he acts too funny and I just didn't think or know I meant that much to him. And he's never visibly treated me like a potential girl. He's mentioned other potential girls like once or twice but more in a cheeky kind of "I'll give her more if she plays her cards right" way, and if I just laugh (cont)

He's trying to be a player without much game. he's trying to make you jealous so you'll like him more. just ask him if he likes you. he's playing a childish game. the girl that the little boy likes is always the one that is blamed to have cooties. he wants you but is more afraid of losing you. it's like the reo speedwagon song "can't fight this feeling". that song explains his feelings perfectly. do you have myspace? myspace I'm would be easier. I'm a good guy. not gonna be weird to you.

I really dont' think he would get jealous over something as small as that. you don't even like that guy, if you did you would have gone out with him a long time ago and he knows that, He is probably teasing you as a friendly gesture. you didn't mention in your question that you thought this guy liked you.

Just because I didn't mention it doesn't mean I don't think it. He's given a lot of hints that he may be thinking something more of me. And he doesn't know that I don't like this guy or not because I did tell him a while ago I was tempted to go out with the other guy. And it's not necessarily small...

I don't know him so I can't say.... in that context, yes it's possible he's jealous. If you want his opinon ask him whether or not he thinks you should go out with the other guy and see what he says.... solicit more information form him so you can be sure of his intentions.

Yea. Could be that how did you know? Girls arnt supposed to figure this stuff out. But it could also be a tention breaker the third person is just kinda in the back round. I knew a girl who did this even when one of her friends was giving another friend attention.

Lol well the funy thing is I did call him, but just to talk because he doesn't have a car to come pick me up. We were on the phone when it finally dawned on me to have my other friend get me.
