We're told that girls prefer the guy to not only be older than her, but also, tall/er, than her. So, especially for us shorter ones, why aren't guys the ones that wear heels, why is it women?
I think it would make sense to have a culture that focused more on male fashion, and it would make as much sense for that to be an aspect of it as it makes for it to be normal for women to wear shirts that show cleavage.
I figure that's just not available right now though. Instead, some men spend a lot of money on their hair or clothes, as opposed to someone just inventing some height-enhancing type of shoe that could be bought for an extra twenty bucks.
Maybe that's why it hasn't happened yet? Low cleavage dresses can be expensive, and women need more than one of them. Guys would just need one or two pairs of height-enhancing shoes.
I figure most of fashion culture was designed by clothing salespeople, just like how they also built most holidays.

This web page gives a rough history of men and heel and no matter what Elizabeth Semmelhack says I doubt that you'll see men in 4" heels any time soon as they are a liability which is why we got shot of them in the first place.

11 ReplyHeels were technically originally invented for men but I think it’s pretty self explanatory why a lot of men would not wear them now.

All human feet become damaged overtime when walking in that posture, our leg shape doesn't support walking on our toes, and hard shoes of any kind are very bad for feet, as is having pinpoint pressure underneath any part of the foot. Ideally you want shoes that stretch and bend, and are flat on the ground, otherwise it fucks up your foot pads and your joints.
I wear heels because hubby is 6 inches taller than me

+1 yMost women do not care at all about height.

Right, they shouldn't, but that's not the point. I'm asking, why can't we, if they, in fact, of course, do. I see it all the time, girls preferring him to be taller than her. One girl on this question alone, says her husband is 6" taller than her, so, she wouldn't need him to, but, she wears them

In my opinion, no one should be wearing high heals. They look stupid and are bad for feet.

Why would I want to practice wearing uncomfortable shoes?
- +1 y
Have you ever asked girls WHY they do it? Most of them say things like "you get used to it", or "they're not uncomfortable to me and I like them" or "They accent the beauty of my legs and I like the extra height". But mind you, that's only said in societies where women already wear heels and it's considered fashionable.
- +1 y
Sorry dude, but you don't have the receipts to back up "it's ALWAYS considered fashionable". If you run in certain circles in specific instances, then yes, it's still fashionable. However, not only have high heel sales been declining since before the pandemic; www.instyle.com/.../high-heels-sales-dropped-71-late-last-year-will-we-ever-go-back footwear, studies by footwearmagazine. com and Psychology Today recently estimated that only 20-23% of women worldwide wear high heels.
