This guy & I got set up by his mom. We've been consistently talking, and suddenly, he ghosts my guts for 2 weeks- I deleted his number a week later- and then that happens: What do you say guys? Should I add him back? Is this genuine?

My whole friends feed goes radio-silent over the holidays because they're living life with their friends and family, and enjoying time off from work, having sit-down family dinners, going to parties, etc... IRL socializing

Well they can do that. And still give us a heads up yknow? I've been ghosted for 2 weeks.
I haven't talked to my family online or off since 2015... and we get along "ok"? Mostly the only things I text with my S. O. is grocery lists, not check-ins. And our third roommate has moved out, but really, he's the one that keeps the group-text going with regular check ins... if you want bawdy memes and scatalogical humor every time he takes a crap as a check in to show he's thinking of you (or our septic system he destroyed living here...)
My point is, not everybody writes cutesy "I love you" or "I'm thinking of you" notes or texts. Unless going to the toilet is the regular reminder they need to text you... I mean... when I used to teach drumming to students, I would tell them keep their sticks and practice pad next to the couch, and every time a commercial comes on t. v., practice a little. They didn't have to put in a 30 minute a day intense practice session to get better, just these little snippets here and there. And, I mean, if you need him to text you at regular intervals, maybe he needs some sort of "assignment" like sending you a text when there's a commercial on or when he needs to take a dump, or...
I know, this is gross, but this is men we're talking about. They don't express a need for validation the same ways that women do.
