Can you please answer both questions in detail?

Hello, so I have 2 questions. Q.1 Why is it that a man would say to you that you two weren't arguing or having a disagreement when you two obviously were? Q.2 Why is that a man would say to you that there was no emotion behind the disagreement when the next time you saw him he basically ignored you and was pissed off? And you can see his emotions on his face. Please answer these in detail.

1. There is a big difference between a disagreement and an argument. A disagreement simply means you have a difference of opinion. You may like one destination for a holiday, he may prefer another. That’s a disagreement. You may both present the advantages and disadvantages of each destination. That’s an argument in support of your opinion. Neither of these is wrong/hurtful unless it turns hostile or demanding in some way. Here is where your perceptions may vary. You may see it as hostile, he may not. Now you have another disagreement, and you can return to the top of this answer. This is why people often say they need to agree to disagree.

2. It is possible that he’s just checked out entirely and is not interested in the subject anymore. In that case you need to think about whether it’s worth pursuing or it’s better off to concede and avoid it. Is the relationship damaged beyond repair? Possibly but not necessarily. A lot depends on the depth/length of the relationship, the subject matter you disagreed about, and the degree of hostility that ensued. Time may heal it, concessions may be necessary, apologies (mutual) may be worthwhile. Alternatively, turn the relationship toward a more positive subject or goal, and move on together. Or determine that the differences and hostilities are too great, and move on separately.
