I noticed this guy occasionally smiling if I'm sitting talking with a friend smiling/laugh etc does it mean anything?

If I was noticing a cute girl smile at me while hanging with friends, I'd totally be thinking it meant something! Guys don't usually just smile for no reason.

I'd say your best bet is smiling back at him if you catch his eye. See how bold he gets - does he look away shy or keep looking? That'll tell you a lot.

If he keeps the eye contact and smiles bigger, girl he is for sure interested. Might even get the courage up to come say hi if you encourage him with the smiles.

And if you want to find out for sure, no harm in going over and talking to him real quick next time. Introduce yourself, say you noticed him looking over. Give him a chance to ask for your number if he wants.

Worst case he says he was just being friendly I guess. But my girl instincts says he likes you! Give it a shot, you never know till you put yourself out there a little. Keep me posted ok?

Ah I see, my bad haha. Well in that case, there's still a good chance he likes you if he's watching you smile and hang out with your friend. Even if you weren't smiling directly at him, guys tend to notice that stuff. It's possible he thinks you're cute when you're happy and laughing. I'd say keep an eye on him too - if you catch him looking your way a lot when you're chatting with friends, that's a good sign he might be into you. You could always try smiling at him one time to test the waters! Just play it cool so he doesn't think you noticed if he gets embarrassed. Nothing to lose by doing a little experimenting!
