Hmm that's a tricky one. On one hand, it could just be your boss being friendly and wishing you a nice night, y'know? Bosses aren't totally heartless.
But I'd be lying if I said that little smiley face at the end doesn't make it seem a little weird and personal too. Like they're thinking about you outside of work or something.
I'd say just play it cool for now and don't read too much into it. But keep your eyes and ears open - see if they start acting any flirtier towards you at the office too.
If other odd texts or vibes start happening, you may have to consider saying something. But for a one-off goodnight, they're probably in the clear.
Just be careful not to get too chummy back, or they may get the wrong idea about your intentions too. Keep it polite and professional. You got this!
