Is it bad to tell a guy you have never been in a relationship before?

So this guy I am talking to asked me if I’ve ever been in a relationship; and previously when I gave out details about being hurt in the past, i usually ended up hurt. But I told him anyway because I wasn’t going to lie right? Does doing that have any effect on the guy? Experiences anyone could share? I am 24 if it helps with some context and I’ve know this guy for quite a while he is very sweet and not judgmental from what I’ve see.

One of my favorite movies had a line in it that I live by…. The movie is called “thief”. James Caan is a diamond thief and a buddy of his Willy Nelson is in jail. James goes to visit Willy to ask a question. James has a new girlfriend and wants to know if he should tell her that he is a diamond thief. Willy Nelson says something so profound that I’ll never forget AND I live by it to this day….
Willy says: “ if you love someone and you lie to them you’ll lose them, and if you don’t love them then who the fuck are they that you have to lie to them”.


My point…always be honest and if they can’t handle the honesty then fuck them 😉

Since you mentioned the guy is very sweet and not judgmental then I'd imagine it's actually a good thing you told him details of you being hurt in the past. It will give him an opportunity to avoid hurting you. "I wasn't going to lie right", I agree honesty is the best policy. I wish more girls were honest

I think a real good man will accept that emotional baggage and do his best to navigate it. There may be times when 'his best to navigate' might not be that great but that's okay as long as you can continue to talk things through together

No. Its not bad to be honest, especially if you want this to be a long term thing.
