No not always. I’ll give you an example of tonight. I had a busy day, then later after picking my 11 year old son from school, he did his hw and then I had to go to town to get him some new belts (worn out from years of usage). I can't pee with an erection so it is a problem to have an erection and a need to pee. We get morning wood during REM sleep and we are more likely to wake during REM and hence wake to an erection.

Not always.
Because we'd pee all over the walls! I've already gone to pee with a very stiff one, several times, and actually had to stand about 8 feet away from the toilet in order to arc the pee to go into the toilet.
