For the girl in the other country generally it's going to be for profit. Whether that's explicit, or part of a scam. Hell, you can't browse 50 profiles from a local dating site anymore without at least 20-25 of them being from a foreign country. Add about 15 of them onto there being ads for instagram or onlyfans, then the remainder is who may talk to you or ignore you.
