What would make a woman appear arrogant (even if she actually isn't)?

Most women are not arrogant, and I am pretty sure you are not either. It's more of a cultural thing. For example, in sports, when an intelligent woman is debating at the front desk, giving her opinion about how the team is performing, older men or bitter men tend to complain about the woman and get upset when they see a woman who is attractive and intelligent because that's something they can't have.

That is why most women who work in sports broadcasting just smile, act nice, and interview the players. If she is at the front desk debating, the viewers will complain about it.

Another example would be the State of the Union response to Joe Biden's State of the Union address, where a woman was in the kitchen with a very soft, passive mommy voice. Again, many guys don't like when a woman is assertive, intelligent, and can effectively challenge a man on his beliefs. They prefer women who are dependent and passive.

So I would not worry about someone calling you arrogant because they are probably someone who has nothing of value to you.

Tone of voice. It might be their regular voice or speech trait but it could sound arrogant to the listener

No you don't. You have to sit uncomfortably close to a group to hear everything being said. Otherwise you are hearing bits and pieces which you are certain are about you? I don't think so.
Also, arrogant people rarely believe that they are actually that way. I mean, are you friends with these people? Why does it matter?

Yes I do hear them in the kitchen when they leave the door open while I’m standing in the hallway

@SolitarySolace you can gossip about everyone really. Thing is, these two people are the ones I interact with the least but at the same time they are the ONLY ones hating on me

I have a coworker who EVERYONE can't get along with. We're obviously not supposed to gossip at work but they all do it anyway. All the new hires are warned about her and they come to realize why she comes with a warning.
