So there is this guy that I have know since a little girl but didn’t put much attention until his sister said that he used to have a crush on me, and I used to have a crush on him too. We hang out for three days at a place and he would talk too a lot of girl bc he says they are easy to talk to but when it comes to me he just doesn’t talk when he sees me he smiles or smile and wave but that’s it. Also I’ve caught him a bunch of times looking at my direction and when I would look at him looking at my direction he would look away and when we talked one time with a group I would smile and not talk but he would look at me and have a big smile too so I’m so confused what’s going on.

You need to talk with him. It's really impossible to tell. When feeling attraction, the stronger the attraction oft the more awkward it is for someone to express it (especially if they themselves don't see themselves as too attractive). So its way easy for things to seem other than they are.

I'll tell you some clear indicators though:

1) After you say hi or ask someone a question you like, they show clear interest in continuing to talk to you (if they are disinterested, they will move to end the conversation more quickly),
2) Someone that seeks your company a lot, or obviously attempts to try to be where they might see you (this one is still hard to tell because maybe they just have same classes or whatever).
3) They try to give you gifts. People attracted to you wil often be very keen to give you some kind of gift or keepsake (though if its just a generous person they might still try to give gifts for other reasons, so again nothing is concrete).

The most important thing to do is talk to them, and see how they respond to you. Maybe say "hi" then say "You know I'm happy for you to talk to me too". See how they react. If they like you, they will smile more and talk to you more after. If they are neutral, they might ask why you said that. If they dislike you they will mostlikely either be directly mean to you, and say, "I don't think so" or they will just give you a short non-commital response (or none at all).

Remember, its all about understanding what you need and want, trying to figure out the other person is just confusing and often leads to wrong impressions.

To me, it is an indicator that he likes you too because he seems not to have any issues talking with other girls.

This only happens when no feelings are involved. You can talk with people of the opposite gender without being worried about what they think of you.

On the other hand, if you are interested in a person, then you want to come across in a good way. He is probably afraid to make a blunder and to leave the wrong impression with you and that is why he is not behaving the same way with you as he does with other girls.

Take the initiative and talk with him. What do you have to lose?
