Why have most males always tolerated being in miserable relationships?

It is sad but I am not judging cause I used to be that way even though I never had a girlfriend/wife. Men having to always get desperate and put up with shit. Men always saying how they are miserable in a relationship yet staying in one.

I cannot speak for every man here but I was miserable because I was sick and tired of the fights. My ex that I spent 16 years of my life with had the ability to start a fight and continue it for so long until it wore me down and I had to apologize just to end it. She had a tactic where the fight would drag out late into the night I would try to put an end to it because I'd have to wake up early in the morning to go to work and she wouldn't and she would just keep going and going and if I try to ignore her she would focus on that instead.

One time I was in bed and she was berating me for ignoring her that I just smashed my head into the drywall out of desperation and frustration. It actually got her to stop.
