One partner or the other may quickly become bored or find a committed relationship that won't support a friends with benefits dynamic on the side Realistically there are any number of reasons but ultimately those types of arrangements are also transitory and can end rather quickly.
Because it’s not meant to last. Usually the arrangement works when both parties are single or on the market, but at some point in time they can outgrow that arrangement or meet someone else entirely. Aside from that, the whole point is for it to be transactional, no strings attached is quite literally the benefit. If you can’t abide by that, and you’re emotional about cutting ties or hurt, then you put too many of your feelings into that person when you shouldn’t have.

It can work but have to set good boundaries like: different town, friend's circle, habits, no texting / calling / following on Social Media, otherwise 99.9 you get feelings if you see her/him too often.

Because people generally want more than just sex, but it's hard to find someone that's compatible in life than just sex. Sex is easy. It's everything else that's a bit more rare.
