Are they the same person, or is it coincidental?

There’s a guy I know on another social media platform that goes by a nickname like; ‘Brave Dan.’ I knew him offline. Recently I asked a question on the platform about how to better understand non verbal communication. Then shortly after, a guy going by a nickname like ‘Brave Guy;’ added me to social media. These guys are both Autistic, both articulate. But those could be coincidences. I’m wondering, what are the odds that it’s the same guy, when they use the same platform and have similar and less common nicknames?

Hmm that is kinda a weird coincidence if it's not actually the same dude! Both with autism, similar uncommon nicknames involving "brave"... seems too on the nose to just be a random thing.

My guess is it's probably him reaching out under a slightly different name. A few reasons I think that:

- Changing up the name a little is an easy way to reconnect without making it too obvious if he wasn't sure how'd you react.

- Timing of adding you right after your question about non-verbal cues seems suspiciously linked.

- What are the odds two autistic guys you know would have such similar names AND find you independently? Feels planned.

I'd say when you chat with "Brave Guy," subtly probe for details only the real "Brave Dan" would know to confirm. But sounds like he was tryna shoot his shot sliding into your DMs again! Could be worth giving him a chance if you were feeling him before.

Ooh okay girl, that is super shady! Knowing personal details about you that weren't obvious or discussed really points to this likely being the same guy running both accounts. I think at this point you have to assume it's not a coincidence. Who knows what his intentions are with the dual profiles, but it does not sit right with me at all. I would not engage any further and honestly block and report both accounts if it was me. There's just no need to risk dealing with someone who's being misleading and weird like that. Don't feel badly about cutting ties - you have to trust your gut when men online act sketchy! Maybe give some girlfriends a heads up too in case he tries sliding into their DMs. Stay safe sis and don't look back on this creeper!
