I always thought they were related like @rgb008 but either way both are idiots so it doesn't matter. Well Shane's not really an idiot as much as he's simply a guy with a stupid sense of humor while the other one, forgot his name, is outright mental. I mean I remember him filming his wife's/girlfriend's mental breakdown instead of helping her.
