Do men only love sex, football and money? Isn't there anything else they like?

A good woman 😉… (Seriously, aside from the physical stuff, I’ve seen the love and tenderness of a good woman transform all my guy friends and really appreciate how happy they are with that level of love, affection and caring in their lives.)

A “win” (at work, sports, promotions, etc.).

Affirmation (“good job”/“well done”/a pat on the back).

Moments to relax and wind down, let the world fall off his shoulders.

Time to play (video games, sports, fishing, hanging with his buddies, etc.).

Opportunities to prove himself (like “Spartan Race” or a personal fitness goal, fixing stuff around the house and otherwise showing their skills off a little).

Opportunities to enjoy the life they’ve worked towards (travel, learning, collections, whatever floats their boat).

Family time — those with kids and extended family find joy in being around the family they’ve cultivated.

Routine & Tradition… Basic routines and traditions, while perhaps not making the guy smile and look happy, lend themselves to helping a guy feel safe and secure so he feels it’s OK to be happy. The concept of having a steady job is included here…

A good friend (confidants are rarer for guys than I has always thought in the past… but guys who are able to share and let the load off their shoulders by talking with a friend tend to lead happier lives).

Nah. Most men want what humans tend to crave. Belonging. Affection. A sense of purpose. Someone to talk to that gets you and somewhere to rest your head when it is heavy.

And then we also want sex, sports and money.

Not every man loves football. But what makes me happy is peace, quietness at times, not having to listen to everything that went wrong in her day everyday, her little gestures that she cares, feeling needed, having a purpose in why I’m there w her, affection, not too much though, being left alone at times. Good food cause she knows how to cook.
