Is he ignoring me because of jealousy?

My friend loves me, but he has not confessed to me yet. There is something happened and he became very jealous of me because I met an Italian guy. Then my friend became nervous and caused problems because of his jealousy and tried to make the other person looks bad. I sent him a message telling him that he embarrassed me and that it is not permissible for him to talk to me in this way. He apologized to me and I replied, but he did not respond and did not even see the message.
