It should be fairly obvious I would say. In effect though you have to give permission. That might seem strange but you can't really love a girl unless she lets you and that pretty much means she feels love too.
Accepted love carries claims with it. Most of us want fidelity. There will be some mate guarding and a whole list of behavioral expectations. Love ain't free. The permission side is accepting those constraints.
Before that point it is sort of prebidding. Sort of I'll buy you a car if we become a couple.
If you are asking how do you know if a guy will take care of you before you bond I don't think you will strongly concrete answers like a new car but you might get some fine dining experiences
My two cents on this is, a man could be mate poaching. Power of persuasion, damsel in distress. He comes across as the night in shinning armour. The female friend (target) receives all the missing issues she's not getting in her relationship. The poacher knows this from being there for his "friend".. now uses this intel for his advantage by doing or fulfilling all of her "reasons or dislikes" from her relationship. Poacher coming across as empathetic, concerned, loyal. Meanwhile it's a strategy to leverage his own interests.
He does take care of you.
