To make it short and simple, we met through work, we work in a restaurant. However the last couple months since about March, he’s been doing things differently with me that I personally have never seen with any guy who’s crushed on me in the past. I’ll list out a couple things here.
- always hugging me hello / goodbye when I get to work. He would even playfully tell me not to leave and stay forever. He would also ask when he was going to see me again or when I work next.
- the hugs have ranged from friendly, to swaying with me, to a full body hug. He always hugs me with his arms around my shoulders and since he’s tall my head will end up on his chest.
- staring at me from across the room when we’re going about our work day. He’s held my gaze and smiled at me a couple times.
- a month or so ago he called me the love of his life to my friend one day when I wasn’t at work, and he asked her who was coming in for the mid shift, and when she said me, he said “oh Jennie the love of my life?”. And just yesterday, she was teasing him about that time while I was standing there and he got extremely shy and started smiling really nervously. I felt kind of bad but I thought it was cute lol. He quietly said it again right there, “Jennie is the love of my life”. And to make him less embarrassed I went to hug him in a playful way and he started denying what he said while still smiling. So I just let it go because I could tell our friend made us both feel awkward.
- if I ever walk away from the floor without him noticing, sometimes (not always) he’ll ask me where I was or if I had gone on my lunch when he sees me again. this also follows with if I call out unexpectedly and he’ll ask me why I called out when I see him again.
so regarding all this, sometimes he’ll be distant and backs off a lot. It’s not an issue and I don’t ever push him to hug me or talk to me. Sometimes I don’t go to him at all and he comes to me anyway. What do you all think of this? Thanks for reading
