Guys, Does he like or hate me?

ok so he stares at me then looks away quickly once I catch him. other times he smiles back and keeps on staring at me it’s cute. when I laugh at a joke he makes, he smiles or blushes. whenever I go near him though he moves away and sometimes avoids physical contact. sometimes he tries to touch or grab my hand. other times he avoids me. once he was staring at me from across the room, I walked up to him and then he backed away and left. when I hug, touch his arm, or compliment him, his face turns really red. when I’m with other people who hug or talk to me, he stares and smiles or looks a bit mad? I feel like he likes me but at the same time I don’t really know.

I think he does but he seems totally overhelmed with the situation.

But if he is avoiding contact by moving away when you approach seems like that it is to much for him.

Maybe try to tune it down and see if your reduction of effort makes him come out of his shell.
