I have seen content from the redpill community that says women don’t care about men’s emotions they want a man who is stoic and doesn’t show emotions ever.
I don’t think this is true.

+1 yThe two women who have answered actually said “yes”, but “not really”. At least it appears they are being honest though, as it collates with my experience.
Women say they want a man to express his emotions BUT, she has to approve of everything about it. He has to express exactly the right amount; too much and he’s a crybaby, too little and he’s insensitive. He can only express emotions she approves of for specific events. Every woman has in mind the “appropriate” emotional response for a given scenario. If he expresses the wrong emotion or nothing at all, she will not approve.
Here’s the key. You MIGHT get accusations of “toxic masculinity” for being stoic, but you won’t lose your man card. You can still have relationships with women. If you DO start expressing yourself, when you do it wrongly, you lose your man card. Word will get around and no female will touch you ever again, unless you hire her. And you WILL do it wrongly. You will never be allowed to own your feelings. She owns them, and she controls them through her approval or disapproval. She WILL hold it against you when you do it wrongly too. If she doesn’t dump you immediately, it will come up in every disagreement until she does dump you.
That’s why most men choose stoicism. We’ve seen behind the curtain and know exactly what the wizard has in store for us. If you haven’t experienced the same, you’re unbelievably fortunate, and i would argue that you just haven’t experienced it YET. It is your choice to make in the end. Good luck!03 Reply- +1 y
@chazmatazz269 Sorry the cry more than I do was intended to be funny and fell flat. I think crying is fine from either sex, also don’t personally do well with a lot of crying from anyone. I want my man’s real feelings whatever they may be bc I value authenticity. My bad and I do apologize.

Well that’s a long way to say you don’t interact with very many women

+1 yAre u nuts? Never share your emotions w/ a women for 3 very important reasons
1. They'll come back and use that info against u when you guys are fighting
2. It takes you out of leadership position
3. Women lead much easier lives than men so she's not equipped to help you w/ real problems.
Think about it like this would you bring your problems to a child? That's essentially what women are.

+1 yNo, I'd laugh in his face and play the Kesha song 'Grow a Pear' at full volume until he shut up. 🎶 Yeah I think you're hot I think you're alright but you're acting like a chick all the time 🎶
... Okay, seriously though, women want their partners to open up to them. Key word there is 'partner', as in a long and committed relationship. If you're hooking up or you just started dating, venting to her is like saying 'I love you', it's a huge step that could scare a person off. See, those redpill dicks don't have committed relationships, so they don't know how a woman who loves them responds to vulnerability. Once you've been together long enough, getting emotionally honest brings you closer. It doesn't hurt the relationship lol10 Reply
I would definitely want him to show his vulnerability and emotions. This actually helps to get to know the person better, know what is important to him, what makes him happy and sad, what can shake him. Being stoic is a positive trait when you have a problem which you have to cope with immediately, but in a relationship emotions help US understand each other by learning what the smallest of quircks mean. I would probably need some time to react to IT, but I would definitely appreciate my significant other sharing their inner life with me. That's precious.

+1 yYeah I like us to both be really close and be able to talk to each other about anything. But guys rarely open up to you, and because of that it is hard to ever feel that true connection, trust or depth to a relationship, when you are always guessing how they feel. To be honest liking or falling in love is usually a waste of time, since we never really know anyone.

+1 yYes, but it usually ends up working out that they hate you for some reason after and start treating you like 💩. Then you leave because they are acting all messed up. Then they come on GaG blaming women for seeing them as weak when they open up.

My theory is that they feel like they need to regain control since you know theor vulnerabilities so playing mind games and being disrespectful is the way they do it. It's really irritating.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yThat’s what I crave in a relationship. I hate the “being stoic is manly” narrative. Yes people should be able to stay level headed and logical when needed but that doesn’t mean that they’re not allowed to have emotions and express their feelings… I fall in love with my man more each time he opens up and shows his vulnerable side. Of course I expect him to still be the voice of reason most of the time, but I don’t want him devoid of emotions. Balance is key.

+1 ySo important. I mean i would rather he doesn’t cry more than i do lol. But I am my man’s refuge and he should be free to express anything with me. I will listen and try my best to understand, love, comfort…have his back.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yMen usually do not share emotions and vulnerabilities, because they have found that any vulnerabilities they share with a woman when they are in a relationship is weaponised and used against them in an argument.
Also women say the want a man who is open with their emotions, but when they encounter one the last thing they want to do is date them.

+1 yI don't share emotions, because that's not how I conduct my mind like.
If I feel bad about something next thing I think is how I can solve it, or if it is even in my power to solve it.
I don't go around feelings over and over.

I get turned off when a guy acts too tough. I just cannot feel any connection with that.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIt may or may not be true. But one thing is for certain--you aren't going to get closer to the truth by asking questions like "girls, would you want your boyfriend to share his emotions and vulnerabilities with you?" Good GOD man!
Try OBSERVING how women and men behave in the real world. What actually WORKS? What doesn't?

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThere's a lot of women lying on this poll.🤣🤣🤣
Women say they want this. They really don't. Never fall for this fellas. When she says she wants this, concoct some palatable story that satisfies what she wants. This may take some practice over time with different partners. But over enough time you'll start to get what she wants to hear. I warn you, NEVER tell her the truth! It WILL come back to bite you later.

+1 yWife response: good women absolutely do. My husband (account creator) is not a robot and to be a good woman and a good wife I consider how he feels or will feel. Something many American women seem to have lost.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yThe last time I got tears in front of a girl and told her about something deep ... I got dumped. She told me she had never seen any guy doing it nor men in her family and felt very uncomfortable. She eventually ghosted and dumped me. What I have heard from other guys, they had similar experiences before. As a guy, if you do those, there is a large possibility that you will get either dumped or she will lose feelings, and respect for you. I haven't made the rules. It's what it is.

That's probably why guys don't want to do that in front of girls. If you cry in front of them it feels like they are saying "Gotcha!"
First you feel like they are sympathizing with you "that's the 'sad' part," and as soon as the last tear falls, they're going to leave you weak sorry ass. 😀 - +1 y
RingofFire, wise words. I'm more jealous, like it looks better when I cry! But also, how is he going to protect me? Granted, sad moments in life, funerals, certain movies, moments warrant tears, but groveling whimpering. ..*puts headphones in*
