Do men like it when you open up to them and talk about sensitive or private topics? Does it make them connect with you more or do they not like having those kinds of talks with women?

That's one of the top desirable qualities to me in a woman and what I found more in my wife more than any other I ever dated. I owe the stability and happiness of our 14 years of marriage largely to her ability to open up and share her perspective with me.

We never really fight because as soon as one of us is starting to get upset over a disagreement, we immediately switch to that very open and vulnerable sharing mode of communication and then we understand each other so well and start laughing and hugging, even if we continue to disagree.

It's like, "Ohhh! I understand now why you're upset." And same when I share the same way to her and we end up with an extreme level of mutual understanding and empathy for each other.

I desire that in relationships, we both should be willing to but not really friendships. It isn't that I don't care when I'm not in a relationship but that can be a lot to handle. It only happened once but I did feel really uncomfortable and thought she should have talked to her boyfriend not me. I guess it was a compliment she trusted me.
