Why many men nowadays are looking to live off women?

I was so shocked to meet guys who actively try to take advantage of women financially. Live off a woman or even ask her for money. Some men actually target women on purpose because they tend to be more empathatic if the guy claims he need the money for his sick mother. Like where is your dignity as a man? How can u beg from a woman when you are an able bodied man?

In the U. S? Honestly? It's for 2 reasons. I avoid them entirely, as I'll only date women from Mexico, they have the values I'm looking for. But it's because 1. The VAST majority of them under 35 are walking around your local Walmart and bistro like she's Doja Cat. I mean in terms of fame, money, attitude. Many will even tell you that. They're "bad bitches," that virtually any guy doesn't have major money is beneath them, etc. I hear and see it daily. They walk around publicly VISIBLY treating any guy who works at a regular job like he's a cockroach. Why does she do that? Because 2. Many of them ARE a lot better off than guys-because they're career online bums. They've got a Masters degree in Fleecing 70 Yr Old Guys. IG, SC, OF... I do disposals, of which I get clients online off of platforms like CL, and I can't go ONE HOUR... even in small towns... without seeing under "Job resumes" the picture of some chick with her butt in black tights up in the camera with a headline that says "Pay my motel room" or "Single mom, 27. Have content for sale. Need to fix my car. No meet ups." I've seen both in the last week, and this is a small college town. That's on the JOB RESUMES section. That's not counting what you see on ACTUAL dating sites. Checked FB dating? I have. You'll routinely see women with ebonics in their headlines, "if u ain't got yo own shit, don't even think about it." And these are white girls from... Ohio? Kentucky? So... they're big time ballers... only because the only place they can afford to live is the nation's toilet bowl, but they deserve Doja Cat treatment while they're 300 lb e-ho bums? You really think the U. S. has legit dating material now? I don't. If women are now going to look down on everyone else, brag how they're so much better than everyone else, how they make more money than us, brag how stupid we are, and then tell us how incompetent we are? Great. Then guys will put in ZERO effort, and take them up on their word. Provide and support, Ms. Big Time.😎I personally don't, I think American culture is beyond toxic. But they've set themselves up, had their ego on full blast pump for awhile, and now it's coming back on them. Yes, I know several guys in a few different states, that do this with women. And no, I don't know 1 who does it with immigrant women. I don't 1 immigrant woman who acts like this. 90 percent of them I've personally seen have been white. Good for them. Glad they made it big time. I hope they realize that a baby momma with a foul mouth, obesity problem, no home or job skills, pill addiction, multiple kids by multiple absentee baby daddies and career resume as an online beggar at the age of 45 in a shitty town with Walmarts every 20 blocks isn't a desired resume for MILF of the year at age 45. Their egos are so big now, they probably don't even know that. 1 day soon... they will. Too late.

Well, we have always had men try to marry wealthy widows (guess where these widows usually acquired THEIR money), so it's not exactly a totally new development. And it's not like you don't still find women doing the same thing.

What may be causing a large part of what you're seeing is the displacement of men from the blue-collar labor force by people working in the US illegally and displacement of some white-collar workers by abuse of visas like H1B and J1. Women have been much less affected by this, and de-industrialization, although women may be more affected in the future by AI in the workplace.

I've actually had a couple of female colleagues who liked having husbands who were stay-at-home fathers and didn't work outside the home because they took care of stuff around the house that these colleagues didn't want to.

Well times are a changing... women are gaining more money and power now. Many women have very good jobs. So its not unreasonable to assume that there will be men then that take advantage of this. Now that does not mean a man who makes less than his wife is a failure... a man who is say a carpenter while his wife is a doctor is probably a very strong confident man. But a man that actively takes advantage of a woman for money is a totally different animal. Hope this made sense.

Men have always lived off women's free labor by forcing women to be housewives and have 30 of their babies. Now a days most men know they can't do that so next best thing is to live off of women financially. If men aren't getting something from the relationship they are gone. Most aren't in relationships for love.

This is definitely more common now, yes. I think part of it plays into the way today's men are more feminine now, especially the young guys coming out of school and college. I think they also have this intent with the idea "Well, since women are making the money and wanting all the power then it shouldn't be a problem for me to live up under her," as if they think fair is fair. I've even heard guys talking about trying to get sugar mamas too like how women go after sugar daddies.

But also many men are still momma's boys, having grown up being given special son treatment, so they walk into relationships wanting or expecting the same thing.

Educational disparity makes this demographically a reality.

Because sexist changes in the education system starting in the 1990's boys fell thou the floor academically while girls did moderately better. Since then Girls have overwhelmingly dominated collage to a degree far larger than even seen in the reverse 60 years before.

As such many if not most guys simply don't have the skills to support their family in comparison with the only available women,

Personally, I can’t deal with female drama. I’ve realized I’ve lowered my standards for girls/women. Women and girls have normalized their picky behaviour. I’m not some oppressive, jerk guy. I can accept rejection from a girl and move on. But there was this one girl who showed interest even potentially for marriage. Wasted 10 months of my life. Went on dates, she suggested to meet up, she sent tons of memes, gave me her # and she ended it on such immature terms and now is married. I’m established. I work 2 jobs, have my own place, decent looking, stay in shape, stay away from bad people, no to alcohol/drugs/partying/sex with random women. I live a modest, clean life style. Pursuing a masters atm. Unless I find the right gal I won’t settle.
