Why would a guy tell me another girl flirted with him?

Occasionally the guy im talking to tells me about random women who have flirted with him. Not sure why he does that or what’s the point when I never mention other men to him

Aside from simply bragging I believe he’s trying to maintain a sense of casualty with you. Pay attention to how long you’re “talking” vs being in an actual relationship, because this could all be signs of a noncommittal man who’s still on the market and flirting with other women.

You could ask him & find out that way. You're on good terms with him, right? You could say "I was wondering something. That's the X time you've told me that a girl was flirting with you. Why do you keep telling me that? I'm just curious; just wondering."

He will tell me these things but when I say it annoys me, he says I’m overreacting. He’s also not responding much now. I ask him if he’s mad he says he isn’t though. Do you know what this means?

It sounds like he's playing a game, why would he then tell you if he knows it'll get a reaction other than if he does it on purpose?

Then he doesn't answer and you text more... It sounds like he's playing you but obviously you know him in context better than I based on the limited information I have

Seriously. The negativity here is brutal. Every girl talks about the times they get hit on. The minute a guy brings it up, it's some deep, manipulative game. My wife has told me 100+ stories, I've probably told her two and she snapped each time. Like, she lost her shit. Even claimed she's never once been hit on by another man and has never said she had been. Weird double standard.
