Why would a guy be interested but nervous to speak with you?

That’s it. Why would a guy be interested in you, but be to afraid to speak with you? I’ve given some men the equivalent of a passive wink they go into my dms and the conversation goes no where or they abort mission.

One guy was just about to talk to me, but instead he posted a billion pictures of his girlfriend. I know what it was in that case but it’s confusing.

Just bc a guy is interested doesn’t mean he’s confident enough to actually speak to you. Some guys — esp those strong silent types — are silent for a reason… nerves. They’re thinking and thinking and guessing and second guessing till the only signal left in their brain is “F-ing do something you moron or she’ll think you’re not interested…” and he shifts, smiles and says “Hey….” 😂.


So… just give him an extra beat and he’ll probably come around.

Men are human, too. Therefore, they have the same fears and reservations as we (women) do sometimes. Plus, considering the #metoo movement, men don’t want to be (falsely) accused of sexual harassment if they approach a woman “wrong.”

They are afraid of saying or doing something wrong. They have an irrational anxiety of messing up & you not liking them. They don't want to embarrass themselves.
