Why is he dressing nice all of a sudden?

I complimented a guy I like a lot at work on the way he looks when he dresses nice. now he’s dressing nice everyday since I complimented him. Is it just coincidence? Cause I’m crazy about him clearly

So if you complimented him on already dressing nice, that means his sense of style and dressing nice was already there before your compliment. Sure you could say it’s nice-ER now but I think that’s you trying hard to find signs of mutual feelings. Sometimes it’s a reach, and given the context, I’d say that applies here.

If he wasn’t dressing that way before then your compliment may have made him a little more aware of what folks at work like and find appealing. Compliment him a second time and see what happens.

Men don't get complimented all that much, we'll revel in the fact that we got complimented and do the thing that got us a compliment more often.
We're simple creatures like that.
And if you like him so much, why not just ask him out?
