Does it mean anything when a guy starts dressing nice all of a sudden?

I have a long history with this guy and usually he’s always in a t-shirt and jeans and Nike shoes, just causal clothes. But today I saw him in like a black dress shirt with black jeans and vans and i was just so caught off guard like who are you, bc last time I saw him he was still in t-shirt and jeans and nikes, I don't know if it’s like a one time thing or he was going on a date or something or a funeral I don't know, but I was gonna say something like why are you so dressed up, and tell him he looked nice but there was another guy there and I didn’t to make things awkward or have him assume there was something between us I mean there wag something between us, but it’s kind of done with now which kind of sucks bc I miss him a lot but yeah I was so shocked. Does it mean anything when a guy dresses up

Girl girl everything you do dosen't always have a meaning is not necessary, you saw it for first time and you asking from us. Maybe he is goin to attend a party , or any date or anything. See first of all i would suggest you to not to look everything with your own perspective.
Be paitent and if you like him just take a first move.
