Guys, How would you feel if a female friend made you a birthday card?

I have known this guy for a couple of years and we have become pretty good friends over that course of time. I wanted to do something thoughtful for his birthday —since I’m giving a gift card as a present— so I thought I could make the card (I am good at drawing). How would you feel if your female friend made you a birthday card? Is it doing too much?

He’s hard to read. At times I think he’s definitely interested and then suddenly the next time he’s more distant. I do know he sees me as a good friend, and I see him as one. I’m not sure if he has feelings as well
