Oh, don’t even….
I used to hold down the fort both at work and at home for the duration of my marriage. Hubby decided to quit his job “to be a writer” (🚩🚩🚩) and ended up not really doing anything bc “housework is for women” …. So one day I came home to a pile of dishes and an enormous greasy mess in a kitchen I’d just scoured thoroughly the day before. After an exhausting day at work that really just burnt my last nerve right out, so I asked for a sit down and said… if it were the 1940s and he had just come home from a long day and I was the stay-at-home person, wouldn’t he expect the house to be sparkling clean and everything set to rights? Wouldn’t I need to have dinner ready so we could enjoy a meal together and relax?
Of course his answer was yes, but he played dumb about seeing my point. I won’t describe the tantrum that followed, or my trip to the ER to tend to my massive shiner etc…. Divorce wasn’t far away after that.
Fast forward to the present day… since I’ve always had to work and earn my keep… to manage a packed household on my own and figure stuff out without a guy to spoil or support me… a guy in my life would have to be smart enough to know that cooking and cleaning aren’t one person’s job. Now the only red flags I see are on the occasional golf course. ⛳️⛳️⛳️
I live only with my mom, I spend a lot of time in my friend's house, yet I make sure both houses are clean and I also work.
I don't let my mom clean anything as I do all the work and I don't accept my friend's house to get messy even when the whole group gather there or if we swim in the swimming pool inside the house.
If I was the sole support and came home to an unclean house and she didn't cook, I wouldn't ask why. I'd just end the relationship and she could get out of my house. I know from experience itis easy and takes MUCH less time than working a job so I wouldn't tolerate a lazy user like that.
Guys don't still think like that surely?
I worked hard and bought my own house before I even met my wife, so I've been responsible for all my own cleaning washing and DIY around the house. If anything I find it quite therapeutic when I'm not working!

If there is no kids at home and she is just sitting around doing absolutely nothing , I would be concerned only if it was an ongoing thing. Me
Personally doesn’t mind doing chores around the house , even if I worked all day , Why I prefer a girl that works with me and not against me , I look At relationships like team work , we are partners’ not enemies , so work together , not against each other
Haha, yep ✋ I raise my hand.. I have definitely been guilty of this in the past.
But after having to fill her shoes (while she's in hospital) you definitely realise exactly wtf she been doing all day...
Then upon her return happily go back to my job that somehow feels way less stressful for some reason (sigh of relief) 🫡
Hats off to all the Mother's out there running there lives. You gals definitely need some credit... (And a holiday) lol
If you’re home all day while the man is working you should be productive in some sense and bring some value to the relationship. I had a wife that was always in social media and I’d get home from a 12 hour shift and had to pick up food on the way home not just for me but for her as well. The house wasn’t clean and it made me feel very unappreciated. We got divorced.
In my first marriage, I worked while my then-wife stayed home and took care of the kids. I never once thought to ask why the house wasn't neat and spotless.
He'd never ask that. I'm a stay at home mom not a stay at home maid lol
Soon to be single mom. I'm a good to work dad not a honeydue.
@Apple1996 You're husband and I are in complete agreement then. I have no problem working and cleaning the house when I'm not!
Yeah. If that was her one job.. if you add kids in there I might not question it so much. If at all, hard to keep a house super clean with kids under a certain age. But I still expect the house to be relatively put away if that is her duty.
If she isn't making money then she has to contribute in some other way. My parents worked out a system that is pretty good. My mom worked more than my dad and made more. Therefore he did more of the housework.
I work 40 hours a week, and my girlfriend works 12 hours a week. She does most of the cleaning since I make most of our money.
My reply to the reply. "I do my job. How about you?" Then put n CCTV so I can watch the house work in real time.
I work from home and sometimes he comes home and I haven’t done much except work. That’s just the nature of things. I can start the cooking and cleaning process after hours like everyone else.
Well you are working too so that is different.
The real question here is what's in it for the guy to support a woman who doesn't work at all and is home all day?
LOL, I have four kids, but the man in your example probably doesn't. And the one that has three of them didn't do most of the cooking, didn't help them with their homework, didn't make sure the bills got paid, did less than half of the grocery shopping, had a cleaning lady, maybe took them to doctor's appointments half the time and generally didn't take them to extracurricular activities. And, oh, she didn't go in to work at 6 a. m. so I could get off early enough to pick them up from daycare.
But, sure, since I am male, obviously I must not have a clue despite what I actually did.
She had you wrapped around her finger for sure. 😯😂
Imagine being a lazy ass thinking cleaning a home is as hard as getting rich
If you are a homemaker, then take care of the home, simple
If he asks that, he has a very medieval way of thinking.
Who tf asks their partner either of those questions 😂
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
You might be surprised.
Maybe lol
People who ask that have issues though 😂
I would wonder that if there’s no kids to take care of if the house isn’t clean
Kids are the reason the house gets messed up to begin with. If there are no kids who messed up the house? It takes two to tango and mess up a house.
Someone is lazy is usually why if they don’t clean up after themselves
That is kids alright.
No also couples
You're wrong on many levels. You probably had strange dick over. With that kind of attitude you can't be any good. Fuckin rich... hah.
Isn't it kinda obvious and stated in your meme? Men like caretakers an women like providers. That's why women mostly target men who are above their wage bracket.
The answer to your question is because the tax man takes his money before he even sees his paycheck.
And what do you do all day anyway?
Who evers not working should be cleaning the house. Idgaf if your man or women get your ass up and do something. This shit is a team effort
If, after I'm married, if he doesn't, he should.
Wait, he should ask you what you do all day at home? 🤔
I'd like to eat some Bon Bons right now...
Nicely said and done ✅👍🏻
I work full time and gratefully and most nights I wash dishes 😁👀
If there are no kids , wtf do you do?
We don’t?
