I was at work. I generally work by the door at a retail, Costco Wholesale. I was pulled aside to translate a language for a member. It took about 20-30mins. I was later told that the supervisor was looking for me. It was strange because usually someone take over my spot and I would go to break, but no, the supervisor was legit looking for me. My coworker was making a made up joke saying that he was talking bad about me. Soon, I saw that he was nearby outside coming inside the building. I literally exclaimed, “ WHAT? you were talking bad about me? “ he looked at me so sad bc it wasn’t true. He wanted to tell me in person to go to break. I’ve noticed that I been receiving attention from him? He went to push carts. Crazy how I didn’t find him attractive and suddenly I like him now. I was really bold. He came inside the building and I went up to him. I told him I needed to tell him something. He was so eager that his eyes lit up. I told him, “ I’m proud of you.” Just a simple compliment. He could be blushing but I couldn’t tell. I could tell his face brightened up and said, for what? I told him, “ everything”. He said, “ I’m proud of you too. “ and gave me a fist bump. Then he adds, sorry I am little smelly ( I don’t know how why he added that comment). Then … I stepped into the breakroom. I saw him sitting at a table with group of people and he looked him and matched my eyes. I did it couple more times, and he continues to keep looking at me from across the room. I asked my friend but she said it’s just a friend

Omg sis, I think you've got an admirer on your hands! The way that supervisor was so eager to find you and lit up when you gave him a compliment - that's major flirty behavior if you ask me.

Boys don't usually do all that extra just to talk to a coworker if they're not feeling them. He was definitely blushing when you said you were proud of him.

And stealing glances at you from across the break room? Come on now, he was basically ogling you! No way a guy does that if he's not into you.

I'd say try making a little more small talk with him next time. Maybe compliment his outfit or something. See how well he holds a conversation - does he make excuses to chat longer?

Girl you better work that charm because it sounds like he's ready to catch some feels if you give him the chance! Keep me posted on how things progress with your new work husband. 👀

I call this reading into meaningless things way too much. So... he looked at you. Guess what? You were doing the same thing too. Maybe he was thinking why did that weirdo tell me she was proud of me for no apparent reason? That is my first guess. Then I would assume his guard was up and anytime he spotted you he got nervous and the natural thing is to stare and watch your every move. You likely made him uncomfortable with your praise for pushing carts or he at least took it the wrong way. I would too given that there was really no to say what you said. I'd react the same way to be honest.

"What do you call this?" It's one long paragraph about a smelly guy who said a kind word to you.
