What are crushes like for guys?

Like how do they make guys feel, do they fantasize about their crush, if they do then what do they fantasize about their crush, etc.

I’ve heard some guys feel this intense protectiveness over their crush, fantasizing about kissing them, being in a relationship, having a family together, etc. Is this true?

I know some of y’all might say that you’re too old for crushes or something like that, but just please humor me for a second and pretend you do have a crush.

Some guys have a SERIOUS sweet spot for their crushes, so yeah, they do go through a lot of the things we go through, especially when they're younger. As they get older, the develop more of a stiff upper lip about revealing their feelings, but I've still seen them get protective over the girl they're thinking about... They ask a few extra questions that seem sort of random to the girl, etc.

Where a girl would just pester with a burst of questions, the guy might ask ONE question and wait... or even say something that sounds abrupt because he froze/got nervous and said the first thing on his mind.

A mature guy MAY just blurt his feelings out in the moment because he figures he's grown... and the girl is grown... and what's the point of wasting time.

(I'm sure there is a range of additional responses to a crush...) So, it all boils down to who the guy is...

I have a Crush... Though I will never pursue her. In my opinion she is too young for me (think she is 24 now)... but boy do I feel drawn to her.

About the fantasising; just the usual I suppose: fantasising about how it would be to be with her, what we would do together

(not just sex exclusively... everything; also the day to day boring daily chores).

That varies widely on who it is. Celebrity crush I'm never going to meet? That's just a random sexual day dream. Someone I actually know and want to date, that's more complex. As a grown man, I'll ask her out. If she's not interested I'll try to move on. As a late teen early 20s guy, I could have a whole secret unrequited thing going that had me pining after her for years. I think we do that sort of need to do that before we're ready to have an actual relationship.

In crushes women tend to steer into the skid from what I've seen. Guy feel to (despite what some women think). But we realize our feelings are irrelevant to most women most of the time. So logically we learn not to indulge those feelings but rather bury those feelings. Yes, guys feel and think all those things you listed. We're just smart enough NOT to put that out there for the world to see. Or her to see.

It sucks because I don't like putting people on a pedestal in my mind who probably don't give a fuck about me. I would rather my attraction go to people who actually deserve it and have the same intentions I do. For all I know the person I'm attracted to could think I'm fat or some shit and fuck that.
