Why is he avoiding my message but watching my stories?

My ex and I have recently started speaking again. He has made it clear he is attracted to me (flirting and compliments etc) but I’m very confused by his behaviour. He usually replies instantly but after a while he will suddenly stop replying for the rest of day. I am not bothered how long it takes him to reply but I am annoyed that he will act all interested then suddenly disinterested because he will just ignore whatever I’ve said until one of us says hello the next day.

I decided to take a step back and leave it but then he did message me first yesterday. He made a comment if I normally wear “fancy lingerie” and I said no, it’s only now and then and he then ignored me. So I messaged saying hello today, he hasn’t said anything but I thought maybe he’s busy or something. But he’s been watching my Instagram stories from today so he’s clearly avoiding me. I just don’t like this hot and cold behaviour, I feel like maybe he’s playing mind games. Should I just walk away?

mind games are really common these days with all these youtube "coaches." they tell people to go hot and cold to make their potential partners go crazy over them. I personally think it's bs because I will move on from anyone who goes cold on me.

He is playing mind games and dragging you along for attention or probably sex or just racy pics to enjoy and share online!

Block him cause he is not worth the games! Clearly he is not interested in being friends!
