Would a guy ever deny having feelings for someone (even if he has feelings and knows the other person feels the same way)?

Maybe reasons whether the feelings are simple attraction or deeper feelings… it can be anything from he’s insecure to he’s been hurt to he’s worried he’ll f up to bus parents won’t approve to he’s moving to he thinks she’ll leave him etc etc etc lots of people talk themselves out of things before getting into them. It’s a kind of ailment in my opinion

Sounds like the girl is the one in denial here. Doesn’t matter what happened or was said in the past, from the point he denies having feelings, none of that matters anymore. You have an answer and a rejection in present time, so it’s pointless to circle back and start looking for reasons he’s lying.

The only time that I would hide feelings I wouldn’t really deny it is if the other person was taken or it’s someone that I know I wouldn’t be with.

Let’s say for example I find a girl attractive but I know she’s not the kind of person I see a future with. I probably would just wait for those feelings to pass.

I did this for months for the girl's good. Eventually I did get over her and now we're both in happy relationships
