Any other guys afraid to take their shirt off in fear of coming across as cocky?

I'm not the most buff dude out there, but I workout a fair bit doing calisthenics and I'd definitely say I'm defined. Even at a beach, I'm a little hesitant to take my shirt off in fear of coming across in some arrogant way. I was just wondering if I'm alone in those kinds of thoughts.

Yes, I hesitate to take my shirt off too because I don't want to seem like I'm showing off. I'm not a bodybuilder or calisthenics pro, but I got pretty good genes so everything I eat goes to muscle. I used to be super skinny so I didn't want to take my shirt off because of that, but then I gained 20 pounds of muscle in a year and now I don't want to take my shirt off because I don't want to seem like I'm "flexing" on other guys.

I'm more comfortable taking my shirt off around women because I know they dgaf lmao

But I will say it's the opposite for me when it comes to guys and girls. Guys don't give af from my experience, but girls tend to think "what a cocky shit". Or maybe that's just my own deluded thoughts

That's probably just your experience due to the people in your area, not because you're deluded lol. You seem pretty grounded to me.

I used to feel that way in the past too, but I don't have a ton of guy friends right now unfortunately and I started noticing that the girls don't seem to care. It's not because they want me either, they know I'm dating and not looking to mess around and they respect that.

I hate it. I work out and eat clean and love having my shirt off, but hate to think people would think I'm trying to show off. I prefer to just be around family when I'm shirtless.
