Does it mean anything when a guy likes a woman’s Instagram story?

hello everybody I have a question. I’ve heard on tiktok that someone liking your Instagram story could be a sign they like you. Unfortunately, my story is not the one getting liked :( I was snooping a bit on my boyfriend’s phone because he lets me and I was looking at the account of one girl I was worried about. She’s extremely beautiful and one of the only women he follows from his workplace. And he followed her first and she sent hearts to him which made me uncomfortable. He likes a lot of her regular photos and comments (nothing flirty) on her posts but I checked the story highlights and I saw he was liking her stories where it was selfies of her. Multiple times. It makes me sad because I don’t want to compare myself to her but I wonder why is he showing this kind of interest to her and not to me. I also wonder if this could literally be nothing and I’m getting worked up over nothing. So could this be a sign he’s interested in her? Is it something I should bring up?

I just want a bit of clarity because I’m struggling with a prolonged mental breakdown and I feel it will help reorient my mind and prevent delusions. So please be honest with me.

I can sit here and say that liking someone's stupid story means nothing... and most GenZers will say I'm wrong.
I mean how are 4,000 pictures of her dumb dog and what she are for lunch on Sunday NOT important. How does a 30 second (tops) time investment in looking at those mean anything?

The most common thing I’ve seen is that those likes (especially on a picture meant to show off looks) acknowledge that their picture is attractive. Most people my age will equate it to “checking someone out” or doing that little flirty whistle but now it’s online. It is also embarrassing as a woman for people to assume my boyfriend is showing interest in other women (whether he is or not, that’s how people see it)
