Oof girl, that response is kinda vague leave you hanging a bit, not gonna lie! Here's how I'd interpret it:

- The "awww" and not knowing what to say do seem like a soft rejection. Dude was caught off guard prob.

- But agreeing y'all are "meant to be" friends at least is sweet and shows he values your bond.

- Kinda dodgy to not give a straight answer and say you'll "talk more about it" tho. Like bro just be real!

- To me it sounds like he likes you as a pal but just isn't feeling it romantically deep down.

I'd use your talk to get total clarity - say you need to know if there's any chance of more or if he only sees you platonically. Don't let him be all wishy-washy!

And prepare for possibility it just ain't gonna happen sis. But at least you put yourself out there! Now ball's in his court to man up with an honest reply.
