I know it can be dangerous.. but I can’t seem to get rid of my liking towards men so much older than me
1 yIt's not bad, but you need to be very careful with those men if you want to date them. Some of those older men might take advantage of you because they know you're young and don't have much experience as an adult yet. It wouldn't hurt to have your parents meet them first before you go on a date with them if you want to be a bit on the safer side of things. But I think if a man around that age treats you well and still allows you to have your own personal development, then I think they might be fine. For me an older man has always just been someone that's a few years older than me. Not like 40+ yr. olds which is what most people mean by older men the majority of the time.

m 1 yThere is a difference between being interested in and actually forming relationships with older guys. A big one.
Also 25-45 is everything and nothing, when you're 18 with 25, you both would still have similarities in life experience. But 18 vs 45, you will be meeting with another galaxy, actually the galaxy of your father somewhat. Your father has most certainly a very different point of view about life than you. So the incompatibility is likely to skyrocket because he will live in a world you cannot comprehend yet. And, more than that, such a man could in the end hate you, or the relation he has with you, because he will miss common grounds he will never get.20 Reply
Bad? No. Just be careful. Lots of "older men" will be interested in you as well, but be aware that to some of them you're probably a bit of a novelty. You're young and pretty. Not all, but some will see you as a bit of a sex-toy. Being sexually attracted to someone and being in a long-term relationship are often different things. It may be that you're attracted to older men, but a conventional relationship with someone closer to your own age might easier if/when you settle down.

u 1 yNo, Im the same way. I will say however, be very careful. Most of the time there’s a very good reason as to why those older men are single and not able to date women their own age.. they can put on a nice front for you but you eventually see their true colours. I’ve learnt this myself from the age of 18. Im lucky in that I’ve found an older partner who is perfect for me, but it didn’t come easy.

Yeah... because we're not typically attracted to women our own age

@Ariesman81 Choosing not to date women your own age vs not being able to date women your own age are two very different things.

And yet here you are... giving attention to someone other than your partner. I can smell the shame on you!

4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. No, but if you are going to date older men, make sure they are mature for their age. To you, any 30-year-old man is going to appear more mature than men close to your age. The key question is "Is he mature for a 30-year-old? Does he have a career? Does he maintain his home? How is he managing his money and his life?
Also older men who hit on teen-age women are almost always bad news. If you want a relationship with a man older than about 25, you should be the one asking.31 Reply- 1 y
Do you have a good relationship with your parents? Do they have a good relationship? In my limited experience, the young women who get involved with immature older men were neglected by their parents, or worse. If you have a good relationship with your parents, and you meet someone they don't like, at least listen carefully to their reasons.

1 yIt’s not bad but you won’t have a real relationship because with a large age gap you’re on a different level than them it’s usually about sex for them and nothing else because of that so that’s the only thing you would need to be careful about unless you go in knowing that it’s only going to be about sex for them because you really can’t go anywhere being under 21 there’s not a lot of stuff you can do with them at your age, only in rare cases it works out but if you go out with a guy in his younger 20s it’s fine
10 Reply 776 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. The problem is not so much liking older men. The problem is being with those older men. You have to realize they are that old and single for a reason. No other women wanted them and they aren't relationship material.

1 yLiking older men is not dangerous, unless you are not in the right age and he is not good for you. Just remember to pick wisely, no matter the age.

No, some women just stand out there.
A 27 year old female acquaintance of mine once said, I don't want 26 year old boys.
I also regularly notice that younger women are interested in me.
What do you like about older men?

Asker1 yThey make me feel secure and comforted. And some are more mature. I’ve talked to a few guys my age and they were extremely immature
9.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It’s always hilarious to see the usual suspects claiming an older guy can’t get a woman his own age if he wants to date a young woman.
You’re an adult now- date whomever you want. But always choose wisely, regardless of his age.

So this is your way of compensating.

Asker1 yOld men tend to go after younger women for one reason

We want whatever you're capable of giving us. Time, attention, care, understanding, submission and thought provoking conversation come to mind. Are you capable of those things?
1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Not at all , most younger girls’ like older guy’ and vice versa.
09 Reply- 1 y
There isn’t , we can’t determine someone else’s relationships , if they are both happy with each other , that’s all that matters. I have dated younger girls’ before , her age didn’t bother me me at all because she treated me with kindness and respect and she was mature for her age , so age means shit my friend. The chemistry and connection is what matters , Fuck what other people think or say about it , it’s not their relationship period
- 1 y
They’re not even responsible enough to legally be able to rent cars but can make the decision go date someone more than 2x their age? They just got out of high school, where their parents were most likely on them for their grades what they wear who they talk to, but no it’s perfectly normal to go from that, immediately to a damn 45 year old man? Like what?
- 1 y
All I am saying, it’s only weird to certain people but not weird for everyone. What someone else chooses to do is on them , all that matters is they are happy , we can’t stop someone for liking someone , we can talk all the shit we want to but it isn’t going to change anything , look at all these famous older celebrities that are banging girls’ that are 14 and 15 , that are paying the parents ‘ money so they can date their daughter , so it just goes to show this is how people are in this world.
- 1 y
No, I firmly believe 18 year olds should not legally be allowed to make these choices. And it’s fucked up that they’re allowed to. 21 should be the age of consent MINIMUM. I’m not the kind of parent to control my children but there is no way ABSOLUTELY no way my 18 year old daughter is seeing anyone 45 years old. 25 I wouldn’t love but I could understand but 45? No never not happening. Dont care.
- 1 y
I agree 18 is still young but sadly that’s how this world is today , as a parent we can try to stop it from happening but legally we can’t unless you want to go to jail over it. Thankfully my daughters’ are dating boys’ their age so I don’t have that problem but some of their girlfriends’ are dating older guys’ so again it’s their life not mine ,
Bad. Because middle-aged men don't fall in love with young girls.
