We have hung out a couple times and it went really really well. The guy sucks at texting or really communicating at all but he does check in and likes every story I post. Do you think I’m overthinking things and should let it just play out or am I wasting my time?

He might just be a shitty texter (which, I guess I can be sometimes as well when I'm not interested in someone or cannot find something fun to text about)

But if you feel hanging out goes well, try to set up another hang out. Unless you're waiting for him to initiate, then I suppose you should not be holding your breath for that.

You might need to, within maybe a week, see if he wants to hang out and then feel how the vibe is again. And when you're comfortable, start making subtle questions to figure out if he likes you, or if the feeling is mutual.

However, the lack of texting would potentially make me feel the same way. Sometimes I'm the one sending walls of text, and getting hardly anything back. Sometimes I'm sending short things and having too much to reply to in return.

Either way, you at least deserve some sort of answer so you don't keep your heart on hold for a maybe.
