I get nicknamed princess a lot by men. My husband calls me princess, his uncle calls me princess, my male colleagues call me princess sometimes.

I remember going for a job interview and I didn't really know how this take the interviewers comments towards me. He said are you sure you'd be okay with getting your hands dirty you come off abit of the princess type just because I'd dressed smart. Side note I worked for this guy for 3 years, worst manger I've ever had.

Back when I was in school my English teacher referred to me as a little princess as she said I take too long making my work look pretty instead of just getting on with it.

Princess can be used as a compliment sometimes. And it can also be used in a negative way when someone's behaves like a spoiled child.

Do you behave like a spoiled child?
Do you dress like a princess or barbie?

If both of the questions are answered with a "no" then they will probably mean it in a good way
