+1 yDepends from guy to guy I guess :)
My man calls me “princess” or his “bite size princess”. But it’s a term of endearment just like how he calls me “love” and “baby girl”. However, he also uses it in a sexual setting and calls me princess (he’s quite submissive) to show me that I’m above him like royalty...
Some men may use it in a different sexual way like the way a father calls his daughter princess (some men are into that... I don't know
But as far as my man, it’s used as a term of endearment and used in a state of sexual submissiveness... that’s my only experience with that
I’d say if he’s calling you princess, it’s good :)20 Reply

+1 yIt depends on the tone. It can be totally make fun of someone (basically you sound like a whiny brat who needs to get her way) or if it is a nice tone, it can be used as a compliment and can mean that he likes you.

Well princesses are usually associated with being beautiful so he might think you're beautiful.

Thanks girl! Its the simple little things I never understand lol

No problem :)
+1 yI call my girlfriend princess a lot because she likes it and because she's very special to me and when I call her princess she smiles and it makes her happy and if she's happy I'm happy so I call her princess to show her that she's special

Compliment meaning she is beautiful like a princess he looks at her like she is gorgeous and making him melt , her beauty blows him away when he is with her , or the sarcastic remark meaning she acts selfish and snooty and always wants things her way and everyone needs to kiss her ass she thinks her shit don’t stink and she is given everything being treated like a princess. So How did he say it to you? Are you dating him or hooking up with him? Or is he just someone you know that you are just friendly with

+1 yCan mean everything or nothing
all depends on how he said it o_O
can even be used in a mean sense42 Reply- +1 y
Definitely wasn't in a mean way lol
- +1 y
So all the other possibilities are good :p
Depends on the situation.
I'd probably use it in a sarcastic way making fun of a girl being lazy and wanting everybody else do stuff for her or if she like not asks for things nicely but she demands it.
In more of a positive context it would be more of a appearance or manners compliment00 Reply
+1 yIt depends on context, and tone. If I'm smiling like a schoolboy, trying to impress a crush, and it comes out sounding corny, that's a fumbling attempt at flattery.
If it's an annoyed tone, preceded by "whatever," or is expanded to "as you wish, Princess Complex," then that's just a nicer way of saying "okay, Karen!" I usually have to be really particularly annoyed before I let that slip out.

+1 y"I look pretty deeply into other people's words and actions"
Well there is your problem. Don't do that, most people don't think much before they open their mouth or do something, you will be guessing intent forever. Just ask the person what they meant when you are confused.00 Reply
+1 yReplace the genders in this situation and replace the word "princess" with "daddy"
"you're my daddy. you're the only daddy for me"?
... you know how weird that feels right?
Ya I felt that weird after reading your statement... but trust me, it's not as uncommon as you think it is
(both the cases, "princess" and "daddy", just weird fetishes in my opinion)00 Reply- 310 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.

it can mean a lot friend.30 Reply
+1 yI hate being called a princess because it feels like that person thinks I don't put any effort into anything I have, and haven't worked for shit in my life. I don't care if they mean it in a cutesy endearing way, it rubs me wrong.

Depend on the context it was conveyed. Could be teasing you (I'd make eye contact & smile to convey this) This one would be the more likely reason. Could also mean I think you're a spoiled entitled brat but if I thought that I'd cut the interaction short to signal lack of interest.
00 Reply469 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. There isn't enough context, I don't know the how he said, and the why he said.
He could be a father, friend, lover, of random dude. Any relation to you can have completely different or similar meanings.
Without know any backstory and relation to you, I would assume it could mean "he" views you as a young royalty, or spoiled, or high maintenance, or adorable.
there's no way of knowing because this is a word that is highly versatile.00 ReplyI'd say is just a pet name to avoid calling you baby
20 ReplyIt depends on how he said it. My boyfriend calls me baby doll and princess a lot. At first yeah I was dumb founded but its flattering

+1 yit is a compliment probly related to how you look in a dress. if he repeats when you wear jeans i am wrong its just endearment. if the tone is annoyed princess can be a criticism like spoiled expecting everything.

+1 yIt goes back to having entitlement issues. Nothing wrong with treating your girl like a princess once in awhile, but if she takes the attitude you should do everything for and pay for everything that she wants, then she has taken it too far.

+1 yIf he calls you princes because you know round about way what he's telling you he's he thinks your special and he probably has feelings for you he wants to look after you was to put you on a pedestal
00 ReplyI don't know. i wouldn't like it. my dad calls me his little princess sometimes so it would remind me of my dad lol.

Yeah definitely don't want that haha
he might like you, or he might just be being nice, or he's gay lol
are you a princess type? are you romantic? those might be reasons for that pet name, he might be teasing you...00 ReplyIs it this guy?

+1 yTake it as a positive. Even people from different regions of the U. S. could be meaning different things with the term. If you are the Princess, does that make him your "Prince" (charming or otherwise)?

Dont overthink. Guys are usually pretty direct.00 ReplyI hate that nickname, it's done thing a father would call his daughter, so it sounds wrong to me. And he was just being endearing tbh.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI couldn't really choose an answer here, because there could be many. He might like you, but he could always just be one of those guys who's really sweet and calls everyone princess. I guess it all depends on the way your relationship is.
00 Replyits not a good thing, its a reference to having a sh*tty personality. Usually you really don't need to know someone very well to know if they are a princes as its most often outwardly obvious.
