Well every guy is different but most do yes. People really need to talk and get to know their crush though before the thoughts go too far.

When people (both sexes do this) make someone out to be and you in your head make up every little detail about them. Just to meet them and be like “ehhhhhhh” and immediately loose internet you wasted your time or worse yet their time depending.

Thinking is normal being attracted is normal and yes even reasonably obsessive (notice I said reasonably) but sometimes crushes come and go.
