Recently, I passed by my ex as I was walking down the church isle to receive communion. He, although not on purpose looked towards the isle and saw me. I did not exactly see his eyes on me, but I knew they were there. He turned around quickly afterwards. When it was his turn to get up and receive communion, he got up and his ticks started. He has a problem with ticks, which never bothered me because it never really happened often. After a minute, they stopped, but I was left wondering why they even started. I read somewhere that ticks are caused by strong emotion, and I wondered if that was true. If you wouldn't mind helping me out, can someone tell me if the ticks were caused by emotion, and why? I'll tell you that the only times I really saw the ticks was before we started dating, and that was often times when we were walking together.

Ticks are Nerve Spasms, and Yes, they are triggered by emotions, as the eyes glance at someone, and that person start to feel "weird" then the eyes send a signal to the brain, and the brain sends signal to the body to "manifest" itself... for example.. You see someone Cute/Beautiful, then from that vision the eyes sends a signal to the brain and the brain sends signal to the body, releasing dopamine which raises the blood pressure, and makes the person excited to see you... works exactly the same, these ticks are "triggers", for certain moods/events...
