I've connected with a 7 years younger guy through dating app. We have clearly communicated our expectations that we are both looking for friends with benefits only relation to have fun and explore new things. I believe i was pretty straightforward and didn't make an impression of a person that would pressure for something more romantic. The guy was a bit shy more than i expected however I belive we had a great time. Usually i dont take seriously what a man says before he gets what he wants , but on this occasion we had great conversation and laughs after sex. He has been very caring and affectionate after we slept with each other. He would cuddle, give me kisses around my face and forehead- things i would consider only couple do, not on hook ups. I didn’t expect that from him. He did mention that he would like to see me again and ask me if i would like to see him again. It took me a minute to answer and he noticed that by replying that ‘ it took me a while befor i say yes’ That night i wasn't sure if i would like to see him again however i believe i didn't make him feel this way, however never texted me again once he left. Why would he ask me if i would like to see him and never text me again. Even just for more fun.

Dont get me wrong. Nothing about this situation came as a surprise. We both made a clear and mutual decision to have a no-strings-attached arrangement solely for casual hookups—just to have fun and explore our desires. There was no sugarcoating; we both expressed our expectations openly and maturely.

I haven’t had many one-night stands, but based on my dating and other experiences with men, I believe men are generally straightforward. If they’re not into something, they won’t fake it. Typically, after sex, men tend to quietly leave, conversations feel forced and vague rather than detailed, and I’ve never experienced someone showing that much affection afterward as he did. If they dont like the girl, they simply don’t bother.

One of my friends suggested that, since I’m older and was very open about my physical desires, he might be waiting for reassurance that I enjoyed my time with him.

That’s why I’m curious to hear other men’s perspectives on this situation.

Things could be getting a bit too cozy for him and he’s moving on for now. He doesn’t want to create any expectations with you, and your concern over him being MIA shows that he is probably correct and you’re beginning to catch some feelings. I know the detached mentality of a man is nice but as women with higher emotions we can’t just share our bodies like that forever and never feel anything. We can’t be cuddling and kissing men directly after being so intimate and never imagine more than just sex. You have developed some feelings, he noticed and he’s backing off. He will most likely come back if he can’t find another woman who’s down for friends with benefits the way that you are.
