If a guy shows an intimate video of him and his girlfriend to his friends, is it because he’s proud of her and the way she looks?

Unless his girlfriend wanted him to show it, and asked him to because she gets off on it, I'd say a definite NO. Generally, if a guy shows a video of his girlfriend and him together having sex, it's because he showing off and has no respect for his girlfriend.
