What does it mean when a guy stalks your Instagram story without following you then two months later follows you?

I had a crush on this guy back in middle school he never knew about me we never talked or even became friends we went to high school together and he still didn’t know about me but he did stare at me once while I was passing by him to get to my class but no contact of any kind happen between the two of us, years went by and we went out separate ways I moved to a different city. Then in 2017 I experienced something so horrible with a guy I fell in love with and I was posting so much about that guy on Snapchat to the point were this guy ended up messaging me and trying to keep me at ease and trying to make me forget about what I was going through that night we talk for a while I would say a few months but then we stopped talking for almost 6 years and during that time that we stopped talking he became a dad but ended up becoming a single father because the mom turn out to be someone who was living a double life and he had to leave her for the sake of him and his daughter with that being said back in 2024 when I would post on my stories he would randomly watch my instagram stories without following me I didn’t pay much attention at first but then a few months later passed by and on December of 2024 he finally followed me replied to one of my stories and ever since we been talking but then he stopped talking to me but every time I post on my stories he is the first one to see them and even when we start it talking again he was the first one to see my stories.

The possibilities are endless, he likes you, he was recommended by someone you may even know, he ran into your profile, liked what he saw, from what it seems he was all caught up with your posts til he most likely saw something that convinced him to follow.

Yes I reply back to his messages and stuff but the two times we have tried to hang out he becomes shy and lacks to hang out but again the first two times we start it talking it was him messaging me first
