I went out and hooked up with a guy a few times, it’s clear that it’s casual. He spends a lot of time in NYC for work and has been there the past month. I told him I was possibly going to be there for a long weekend, and he said to let him know. I told him when I finalized plans and texted him once there about a night I’d have free. He didn’t reply so I followed Up again the next day. He pretended he didn’t see my text and then asked when I’d be free (which I clearly Stated). After I replied he didn’t say anything. 3 hours later I said It was fine if we didn’t get together, but I wanted To figure out plans so to let me know. He said he might be busy and would let me know soon. He never replied. I was pissed.

It might be casual but we are sleeping together. I thought not bothering to get back to me was really inconsiderate and I honestly didn’t know that I’d even talk to him again. Now that he is back in town he texted me and I’m not sure how to reply. Am I right to be mad? If so, what do I say?

If someone asks me to let them know if we're making plans and they decide not to respond - I'd be annoyed too.
That said, I rarely let my day depend on that. If someone wants to hang out, we plan the hang out beforehand and if they need hours to get back at me and finalise anything, I'm off doing other things. So I understand where you're coming from and would suggest not waiting on someone else to make plans for you - even if you were hoping to get together.

Next time, I'd give it an hour to respond (especially if they know you're around limitedly) and if they don't make it a point to actually meet up or make plans within that period, plan something for yourself. Sure, people aren't online all the time - but seeing as he didn't feel the need to respond at all, I wouldn't even bother with him at this time.

So he kinda left you hanging and he must like to leave you waiting it seem while he was busy with other things its seems. Yes but no. I can see where you’re coming from. But he’s free to do as he pleases. More than likely he was plowing other women. Trust me men will make time if they’re going to get laid, especially w someone they really like. I don’t mean as I’m just liking her cause he has feelings for her. Thanks for the response! To be honest, this started with me knowing he’s not someone I would date but could have a lot of fun with. He’s really nice when we’re together and always arranges/pays for nice dinners so in that aspect I feel respected. It was a Monday night when he left me hanging like that so I don’t Think he was looking to hook up with other girls instead, but regardless I thought it was shitty to not reply and I just want to make sure I’m not devaluing myself by continuing to sleep with him.
