Why would a guy be relunctant to tell you he’s married?

A guy has been part of our friends group for a few months and we have gotten close, but he’s never given away he’s status.

Then yesterday he told me after months he was married, but he seemed relunctant to say it. Why would a guy be like that?

Likely because he has been enjoying the companionship from you, you likely do little things for him that he is not getting at home. You like are talking with him a little differently and he does not want to lose of that. (as a male) we get very little from life. Women may think we have it all but. Most of us are not CHADS we don't have a lot of money to just give away to any random girl. The car we drive is likely beat up from all the years of parking around other cares. The love and care of anyone women is always a happy thing. But if he was flirting back then it means. He is unhappy in his marriage and you made him feel better. Likely his wife got a hold of the phone or (looked at his account) and noticed (umm) Jim. you're not married then what am I. so he had to change it,

Yes I do wonder that, because fair enough men and women do look, but it was the consistency and continued flirting that made me wonder why after I found out he was married.

Unless he said something to make you believe he was telling you the truth I'm positive he was telling you because he wanted to fuck you. It gives you one less hurdle to leap over. I'm guessing that there has been a good degree of flirting happening first

In case he gets opportunities to cheat I would assume, I can't imagine it being good intentions as a loyal happily married man would be proud of his relationship and his happiness would show.
