Do polish men typically like English women?

I knew this guy for years and neither of us really noticed we liked each other until we both started working together. He's 7 years older than me, a manger at my work, single dad and Polish so the idea of us being together never crossed my mind.

We both actually have the same birthday and have loads in common. We'd constantly have flirty banter together at work but it was harmless. I just thought we were becoming friends as he's way out of my league.

He's tall, tanned, six pack, great smile and super confident and funny whilst I'm small, tubby, pale and shy.

He started sticking up for me in front of the other mangers, telling me he missed me when I was off work and bring really flirty with me.

It got to last September when we had a charity football match at work and he was running the event and I was helping pack away everything with him at the end of the evening. He offered me a lift home so it was just me and him left at the end of the event to lock up. I was very hot and humid and I was just wearing a summer dress and it started to rain. He couldn't stop looking at me and gave me his jacket to warm me up and then he kissed me.

I was in complete and utter shock and he panicked and wouldn't stop apologising after that we had a very awkward drive to my house and never spoke about it again but I couldn't keep my mind away from him after and it drove me crazy inside my head.

We no longer talk as much at work but I catch him looking at me and sometimes he tries small talk with me but I just go all red in the face and awkward. I really like him too but it's inappropriate in the workplace and I don't think are cultures would mix well and he probably wants a traditional Polish woman.
